Mission
A New Narrative from Bulgaria
50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA is an independent selection to be held biennially, featuring products created in Bulgaria that demonstrate innovation, quality, exceptional design, and global relevance.
This is not a competition. Nor is it a ranking. This is a curatorial selection – unlike anything you have encountered before.
A snapshot of the Bulgarian economy’s achievements over the past 35 years, this selection showcases the intelligence, ambition, scale, and creativity of products ‘Made in BG’ and the people who created them.
Beyond Borders
From advanced technologies and industrial design to artisanship, food, and the creative industries, 50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA brings together Bulgarian economic ideas with the potential for international competitiveness.
This project aims to transform the perception of Bulgaria – from geography to value, and from shared origin to meaningful impact.
Deadlines
Application
Each company submits its application online. A single company may submit multiple applications - one for each product it wishes to enter. Each product may only be submitted to one category.
Evaluation
All applications will be assessed against 10 criteria by an independent nominating jury. The names of the jury members will be disclosed publicly alongside the presentation of the nominated products in May 2027. The final selection for the inaugural edition of 50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA will be made by a jury of five internationally recognised international experts in the period October - November 2026.
Award Ceremony
The selection and the publication will be formally presented at an official ceremony to which all nominees for 50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA will be invited, as well as guests from foreign diplomatic and trade missions, relevant institutions, business representatives, investors, and influential public figures.

Exclusive print publication with a digital version, presenting a two-stage selection of innovative Bulgarian products from all fields.
COIN
Limited Edition gold coin with collectible value and a QR code providing access to the digital edition of the book.
A Pop-Up Exhibition
An exhibition in Sofia presenting nominated and awarded products live, allowing the public to see and experience them beyond the pages of the book - and also purchase them.
A Travelling Exhibition
A mobile exhibition that will travel across the country, visiting both small and large towns and cities.

The Inaugural Showcase
Ceremony · Publication · Pavilion
At an official ceremony in Sofia in May 2027, the first 50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA will be announced. The event will also mark the launch of the inaugural edition of the eponymous publication and the collector’s coin – serving as a key to the digital edition.
The publication presents the selected products within a context crafted specifically for an international audience.
The commemorative gold euro coin will be a collector’s item featuring a QR code that links to the digital edition of the publication.
The announcement ceremony will be broadcast on one of Bulgaria’s national television channels in 2027.
In May 2027, the temporary pop-up pavilion 50 BEST PRODUCTS FROM BULGARIA will open its doors to all residents and visitors of Sofia. In a purpose-built exhibition environment, both the selected and all nominated products will be on display.
